The Swan Thieves

"The Swan Thieves," a fascinating tale told in two parallel stories, one in the present day USA, the other 100 years earlier in Paris is a must read by everyone who loves art and great story telling. The common theme of talented, passionate artists draws the reader into this fascinating mystery which begins in the first chapter and continues to the very end.

I was excited to pick this book up, since I enjoyed the authors first novel quite a bit, and I was hoping it would be as rewarding a book as The Historian. After reading it, I can say I have mixed feelings, so I'll hit my least favorite pieces first.

Love her first book, The Historian, but find that her second effort really drags. There's very little movement to the story, but a whole lot of pages.
