Insiders' guide to North Carolina's Outer Banks

Reads more like a booster guide written by the local Chamber of Commerce than an honest travel book. It fails to mention that many parts of The Banks are horrible eyesores and look like something out of the opening credits of The Sopranos.

We recently purchased this book in anticipation of a trip to the Outer Banks (as I am sure anyone looking at this is considering doing). The book was a useful tool but we did encounter some problems.
